Private Practice Season 1 DVD

On IMDB they have a few vids from the Private Practice Season 1 DVD, just like sneak peaks of the bloopers, the Kate documentary, extra scenes etc...I ripped them because I know that they can not be seen by everyone (they are IP restricted which sucks :wonky:)

BUT OMFG *FLAILS*, the bloopers, omg the bloopers, especially the end GAH! and the sneak peak of that 31 minute Kate extra, THE PICTURE, it is her Kitty Likes to Scratch face! aww I love how it seems to be like a mini biography of our Kate :love: I NEED THE DVD NOW!

Well I don't want to say yes definitely and then it not work for you. But for me they always work on my computer, I bought a dvd in america of a tv series which i wasn't sure would work but it did on my computer i must admit i haven't tried in in a dvd player as mine is currently broken so i use my computer for that anyway and i have ordered region 1 dvd's before that also work on my comp. DVD players it is more unusual for them to work. Unless you have a multi region player. but they do still sometimes..i guess it just depends. Computer should be ok though.

You can unlock DVD players too. Just find out what type yours is and google it. You shold be able to find it. You enter a code and you can either select what region or region free.

The Naomi/Addie/Pete scene is too funny! Love her face after Pete entered the room :D

And last but not (at all) least the parts from the Kate special! I can't wait now! That looks just great! I love how Kadee and the others speak in high terms of Kate :love: and I love that they report on Kate's past and her previous work !!!

But I'm not sure about buying the DVD because of this code thing... I searched google on that case some time ago because I wanted to buy the "Sweet land" DVD because its not released in Germany(and I guess it won't be at ll) and back then i didn't bought it because it's not sure that it will work on PC because the drives also have or can have a code which you can only change like 5 times and then never again... that's what I read. And I think what Tash mentioned is not possible with all DVD Players... so I have to inform myself about it and then I'll decide. On Amazon it's $25 now I think... that's an ok price IMO

Yup you have to be careful, my computer will only play region 1 dvds (it is an American computer, because Barbados is region 1 too) but it won't let me play English DVDs at all, it gives you the option to change the region, but it is like Anna said, you can only do it 5 times or so then it gets locked in a particular region, but at home in Barbados we have a multi region DVD player that plays any DVD, because my dad is all playing English Rally DVDs in it, so yeah explore all of your options before you go buying the DVD, 25 USD is a great price, but you also need to look into shipping, and whether or not you might get charged duty for them in your country (like I would never ship mine to Barbados, they rip you off in the duty, but I am having them shipped to England, no duty yay!)

I once bought a film in the US cause that was only released there and I can watch it with "Power DVD" on my computer but yeah, I had to change the region and it told me that I could do that only 5 times.
I normally watch DVDs on my player so that's okay cause I wont change it anymore but yeah that sucks, I wanna watch the DVD on my Tv screen which is bigger and better.
Let's just hope they don't change the extras.

mh that's not too long to wait for it.. would be much easier than the US DVD but if the extras are different I'll buy the US one... I'm considering to buy a codefree DVD-Player because there are some not too expensive ones on ebay... but I don't now yet.

EDIT: so I checked some things out and mybe it's helpful for some of you. If you order the US DVD from amazon.com it costs $32,47 (ca. 20,72€) including all additional costs like shipping and fees. That's for shipping to Germany but I guess it's the same for all European countries. The German DVD from amazon.de costs 31,99€ which is a lot more! Ah and another thing: The US DVD would be delivered on 10th Oct earliest and til 31st Oct latest so considering the waiting it doesn't matter what you do...

So now that I know every option I'm none the wiser what I do :D...

I also figured out tonight that VLC media player plays ANYTHING! I had Weeds on DVD, but it was a region 2 DVD (PAL, European, whetever) and my computer is region 1 (American), but VLC played the region 2 DVDs, VLC is da shit! Like not even my multi region DVD player would play them *kicks it & hugs VLC*

Ok, here is my report, the report I wrote at TWoP. Really there is so much more but you just have to see it.

The Kate biography is amazing and so well done. I really thank Shonda, Betsy, and everyone involved for making this for Kate and well for me to watch and enjoy.

They showed pics of her when she was a baby, so cute. When she was 3 years old she won a blue ribbon for swimming. Her mother said it was her first performance. When she was 9 years old, she wrote a play "The Craziest Zoo" (Kate read some of it), which she won best play write. Since she won, she got to make, direct, and act in the play she wrote. It detailed her acting career. Kate is my favorite actress, but watching that made me have so much more respect for her as an actress. Seeing how she chooses different roles and totally transforms herself to be that character, really made me see how much she takes acting seriously and truly loves it.

They interviewed Alex. It was really sweet hearing him talk about Kate. They talked about how they met at the business meeting. Kadee Strickland said she knew Alex before Kate and that Alex is the sweetest guy. He called Kate the "woman of his dreams". He seems like a really sweet guy. Good job Kate.

I am really overwhelmed with Kate love and appreciation after watching it. I think the most amazing thing was hearing all these people (family, friends, co-worker, ex-coworkers, etc) talk so kindly and fondly about Kate. The one part that made me really tear up came from her make-up artist Sergio. He said, "Nothing Ill ever do again will be as much fun as working with her." I also loved when Sara Ramirez said Kate was like her big sister. Gosh, I just love Kate!

The Kate biography is seriously the most fan-freaking-tastic thing ever! Like insane. The interviews with all of Kate's family and friends are excellent and I loved all the random pictures, Kate was such an adorable kid :) It's basically a Walshaholic's dream come true and you girls will love it! :D

I haven't posted here yet even though I've been registered for a while, but I just wanted to jump in quickly. I'm from Germany and I ordered my DVD from an asian site and the shipping is free for everything above 39 Dollars - the PrP DVD Box is 39.99.

I ordered my Grey's Season 3 box the same way (I payed the US price without any shipping fee there as well) and it arrived about a week after it came out in the US. I'm still waiting for PrP and have no idea how long it's gonna take, but I'm confident it won't take longer than two weeks.

So, there's always a way. =)

I love that episode 3 is extended as it's my favourite episode.
It's great having these extra little moments through both of them that had to be cut for time. Shame the episodes can't be an hour long like some of shows over here get to be.

Anyway all the extras are amazing.
Especially the commentary with Kate, so funny!

Sorry yeah I mean an hour long without commercials.

Shows on BBC1 over here don't have adverts so you get an hour rather then 42 minutes on average that we get with PrP.

The stomach growling was the bit I was talking to you about :p and it was so cute when she was talking about the baby, did you listen to paul and amy's as well when they said about Kate loving that baby too and you could tell she did by her face when it lifted up its arms, she looked so excited. I think Kate wants a baby. :p

The Paul and Amy one is I think my favorite commentary.
Shonda just drove me crazy in the Kate one.
It cracked me up how riled up Paul got that Amy's husband didn't buy the Cooper thing. And how riled up Amy got that Paul said Violet wasn't a sexy character, or however he put it.

Yeah Amy was like you don't think I'm hot? Like she was so shocked! Gotta say ITA with Paul on that one though, Vi is just not a very sexual character, unlike Addison, who according to them is horny all the time :p

I loved the bit when they cheered when Taye took of his shirt, that seems to be a running joke on that set, actually that whole cast just sounds freaking hilarious it must be hard to keep a straight face whilst shooting, especially when Kate walks around set singing and doing her old lady dance that Chris loves so much :p

I like the Naomi land scene but I think her talk was much better fitting in episode3 with the cake and all. So I'm glad they kept that line cause it's a really good one :)

The behind the scenes is interessting, but a little short IMO (okay almost all the extras are too short IMO cause I could continue watching for hours... and I know it's just part1, mmh okay I'm spoiled...). But yeah, I would have liked to see more of the filming like in the very first seconds of the vid...
