Brooke Smith welcomes second child

Grey's Anatomy's Brooke Smith and her husband, Russian cinematographer Steve Lubensky, welcomed their second child recently through adoption. The baby was born in Ethiopia.

Brooke and Steve are also parents to daughter Fanny, 5.

More news on Brooke's new baby!

The new addition's name is Lucy Dinknesh Lubensky. Brooke said the adoption took over a year to complete. She shared,

Adoption is something I always wanted to do. There are 5 million orphans in Ethiopia. I just told them, 'Boy or girl, 18 months or younger,' and then they choose and call you when the baby's ready. And I got the best one. She's a pretty great mellow Zen Buddha baby.

Katie Heigl is adopting a baby.


Katherine Heigl is going to be a mom, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Katherine and her husband, musician Josh Kelley, are adopting a child, a rep for the “Grey’s Anatomy” star confirmed to Access.

“Katherine and Josh are adopting a baby,” the rep told Access.

No additional details were available from Katherine’s rep, however, Radar Online reported on Wednesday that an adoption process for a baby girl, 10-month-old Nayleigh from Korea, began at least six months ago. The girl’s nickname will be Leigh.

That's so sweet. Adopting is a great thing. Weird though that they already say what her nickname is... sounds like the baby comes with a nickname in the package ;) Okay maybe that's just me, but yeah, to me it sounds weird :)

I heard she was taking time off Grey's to work on the movie.
I don't mind the name actually. At first it was a little to 'Twilighty' for me. Everyone recall Renesme? *Shudder* But after I got over that, it's pretty. Kind of like Haley, but with an 'N'.
Apparently her interview on Ellen tomorrow/Monday (air date for Aus) is all about the adoption, so I guess we'll find out more then!
Good for her and Josh though.

Naleigh is a mixture of her mum's name Nancy and her sisters name Leigh apparently. I really don't like it. It sounds kind of chavvy. But I'm sure it will grow on me, they never sound quite so bad once you get used to them.

Did anyone else notice that Sandra Oh in Season 5, particulary in the latter episodes, had her right ear pierced twice and her left ear pierced once. But then in Season 6 each ear is only peirced once....?

Grey's Anatomy's Jessica Capshaw Expecting Second Child

Jessica Capshaw is expecting her second child, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The 33-year-old actress, who portrays Arizona Robbins on Grey's Anatomy, and husband Christopher Gavigan have a 2½-year-old son named Luke.

ABC reps for Grey's said it's uncertain how this will affect production but Capshaw may shoot her scenes out of order as Ellen Pompeo did.
